Tonight was a really mixed emotion night. David and I carried our Punkin to Santa Land to see the lights and had such a fun time , even went thru the gift shop for Hot Cocoa. Unfortunately on the way home we topped a hill and in the middle of the road was a big dead hog and David hit it and that sent us airborne!!! Freaked us out and blew out our tire ! I am just Thankful we are safe and after his appointment tomorrow we will get it fixed.

Getting ready for Winter...

Well it is that time of the year to start really thinking about the winter season. Today I went grocery shopping for what I am going to need over the next few days as my Mom and I get to cooking . My sweet Mom is here for a about a week to hang out with her great grandbaby ( my punkin munchkin ). While she is here I figured why not get her to help me with doing some cooking to get the freezers filled up .... I asked and she said YES!! lol I knew she would !

We are going to make soup, chili, bell pepper casserole, meatloaf's , I can not wait to get our cook on !!
I will try to get pics and post them but my Mom is very camera shy if she thinks it may end up on the internet.

One thing we are trying thanks to a tip from my caterer cousin Carmen is to use a roast instead of stew meat and just cut it up myself ... much cheaper and I get a better quality meat .

Well I am going to get to bed because we are cooking the soup tomorrow and it will be an all day slow cooking affair.

I know i have not been here in a few days ... It has been crazy....fires and sickness and My Dad in law in the hospital which meant my Teddybear was home for a week . Praying for rain and an end to the fires as well as healing to the ones who are sick .

On another note Homeschool for my Punkin is going good except I am having a time getting her to remember visually ... she knows stuff and has a great memory if she learned it verbally . I have learned a new trick with her today finally and i believe it is going to work for her.

HOTT IN TEXAS !!!

I have been checking into some different online work so that I can still run the shop for my Dad and homeschooling my granddaughter , a long process but I may have found the right deal for me. I found out today I may even be able to get a business degree online while building my online business. I am really excited and praying it will all come together soon so I can get to bringing in some $$. I really need to see a dentist and get some glasses as well as get a female complete checkup . I would like to be able to get a new Bike and new clothes of course. Praying for some good results tomorrow !

On the Homeschooling front things are going good but I think my lil Punkin may be getting sick. She has not been feeling good but then neither have I . I really believe it could be this crazy Texas weather ... HOTT one minute and then Raining causing the temps to drop to 77 in less than an hour ! Her Mommy found out today that she did get enrolled into the Homeschool Zoo class group. She is starting to not like the idea now but she needs that interaction with other kids. Looking into some other groups for her as well .

My Trucker man is working to get home by Sunday so he can be with his Dad on Monday b/c He is having surgery. Nothing real major other than just the fact that it is surgery and anytime you are put under there is a slight risk there . Praying for a a peaceful safe surgery for him. !!!!!!

My Aunt that had to have surgery on her neck is still dealing with infections can not seem to get over them gets rid of one and gets another .... she is feeling like she is in a prison b/c she can not go or do anything and has to wear her neck brace all the time .

Bait shop Business is slow but it will pick up as soon as it gets a little bit cooler... here in Texas that will be in December maybe ...lol !!

This would be so nice right now !! of course it would melt FAST !

Oh well It will get here soon and then we will be complaining about that . I know we really need rain to fill the ponds and lakes back up badly right now . I am trusting God to just watch over all of us and keep us safe !!

End of two days...

Well day two is over in the homeschooling life !!! So far so good and she is loving it ! We are only going about half a day right now until we get all the K-12 stuff in. I can not wait to see all of that because from what I have read it will be a lot of materials. Below are a few pics from her first day !!! I am praying & believing for a great year for her and all the kiddos this school year !!

1st day of homeschooling tomorrow !!

Well my first day of homeschooling my granddaughter begins in the morning . Kindergarten here we come ... ohhh nooo !! I will be coming up We with my own lesson plans for the first 6 weeks and then she will be starting K-12 . We will be having a two week break in between because she is going to Walt Disney World in FL. I am thinking of some homework to send with her while she is there ...any ideas appreciated ! I thought maybe something like getting a pic of something that represents each letter of her name or the alphabet.

My plan is to do the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a prayer every morning ( one good thing about homeschooling). My daughter wants her to have a bible class at least a couple times a week. I am going to use bible scriptures for her memory verse everyday .

While teaching my Punkin , I am running a bait & produce shop , trying to get a freelance photography business going & just got going on an internet advertisement biz. Oh and keeping the books for my Dad 's personal accounts and his Bait & Produce business ( the one I run) .... as well as my Teddybear's trucking stuff !! I help my daughter some to because she is a full time college student + full time working + full time mom = full time stress !

I love my life so much and I have come a long way from the hell I was in last year when my world fell apart. My life , my love and all my praise goes to my Father in Heaven.

Looking forward to what I will be learning this year and I am excited to see what blessings God has laid out on my life's journey road .... come along with me and together we will Trust in Him to take us through !!!

I have been so busy with the bait shop business picking up !!! So grateful to God for this !! Last week was a really busy Spring Break week !!
Now I am sitting waiting on an order to get here UPS was suppose to have delivered it yesterday !!!! argghhh on the website for tracking a package the driver said after he got a correct address that we were closed NOT my Punkin Munchkin and I was outside and saw the UPS truck drive by !!!! did not even pull in to see if we were open or closed !!

I have been trying to decide what I was going to get my sweetheart for Valentine's Day and for his birthday which is on the 12th.... Well life happened and it was decided for me. He is getting a new air tank as his got a crack in it ( not a good thing) {not cheap$$$} He is having it put on now! Oh well looks like he gets a lil kiss and a hug and a key lime pie !! hehe at least we will be together **fingers crossed**

This has truly been a sad week ...My 89 yr old Granny is moving out of her home. SHe has lived in this place for 46+ years. I held up really good this week packing and moving things out until tonight on my way home I lost it and cried and cried . I called my Mom and first thing out of my mouth is " My Granny has left her home for good now!" My heart is breaking and with all that has been going on with David's mom ( yes she is still in the hospital slow road to well ) and all the other sickness and death and taxes that has been happening my emotions are just raw.

I also talked with my uncle about my tax drama and he has convinced me that i can do my taxes myself and even do an ammended tax for '08 his words"how much worse could you do than what that cpa did to you ?" hummm I think I can do better since I can claim things that she never told me i could !!

David is really getting tired and is needing to come home for a few days even though he was off for a while there with his Mom ...he has been gone since the weekend after Christmas ! I am missing him so much and so is his " lil shadow" ! SO ready for the day when his truck is paid off and he can get a job so he can be home more !!

My heartfelt prayer is that everyone in the world will have PEACE IN THEIR HEARTS, MINDS AND SOULS TONIGHT !!

I was reading and came across the passages below and it made me think of how many times I hear people say He/She was a "Good person " so I know they are in heaven watching over us.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Wouldn't that be nice for some ... but sooo Sad to me to think that just by being nice I get into to heaven and all the suffering that Jesus went thru for us was for nothing. The real truth is good deeds ..nice personality..clean life is the not the way your going to live eternity with God . You have to follow the plan laid out for you in God's word.. the Bible will tell you everything you need to know. You can also just ask God , He is right there with you if you just ask Him to help you to understand and to learn and grow in the ways that will get you to heaven.

Just a thought on my mind today... Please continue to pray for my Mother In Law...and all the others on my prayer list ! I know God is in control of my life and because He Reigns I will live my eternity with Him !!!!

Today I am thankful for the love I feel from God everytime I look UP !!!!!!

I am just a bundle of nerves because of my Mother in law being in the ICU and Dad in law said it just doesn't look good. He is meeting with a lung doctor today at 7 am to see what they can actually do for her and what they can not do. Such a sad time because everyone just feels so helpless . I am worried about my husband he is out on the road trying to work and knowing his mom is sick it is tough. We both are worried over that and the fact that we have had no check in a while now loads were slow before Christmas and then him being off when the family got called in and now it is catch up and get out of the hole we are in... Plus I am working on getting tax stuff together and I now have to find a new CPA... PRAISE GOD FOR SMALL MIRACLES... HE got a load real quick today!!

Prayers for Rena Mae ... for our tax situation because i must find a CPA to help me !!

I just thought I would post a few pics from when I was in Missouri ... Just a few shots of what happens when you get a whole bunch of Williamson's together for a a period of time in a serious situation. Nerves and emotions were high and lack of sleep brought out silliness as it always does. Everyone was so upset and concerned about Mom/Grandma/RenaMae we all had to find ways to relieve the nerves... enjoy the pics because now as I look back on the pictures I can chuckle a little bit about them.

KaDee is getting better ...2 of my cousins had to go to hospital Donnie and Ronnie ... Granny is ready to pack up and move now that she has sold her house...Krysta got her supplies and everything needed at the college to day she begins her final semester next week..David talked to the two munchkins today and Jordan said her ankle is still bothering her ...Justin was just his norm .."I dont know ..Ok .. watching tv..ok ..I dont know !! " really a talkitive boy ..(FYI he is 13) lol .... I have got most of our tax stuff together now I just have to find a CPA to help me since I am not going back to A.N. .. I f i say help me tell me what I need to do follow up and make sure I understand the laws and make sure you know the laws so I am not told by the IRS "according to the law you should have been..." arrrgghhh

what a year so far...

WOW ... I just don't know what else to say but WOW... this has been a year so far. From Jan. 1 until now we have had sickness and death all around us . My mother in law was in the hospital since Christmas eve and then on Jan 1 my husband was was with her and He called and told me to call the family in she had taken a turn for the worse. I am immediately trying to figure how to pay for a trip to Missouri , David had not had but a couple runs over the past couple weeks...Well Praise God for family... my Granny,Dad & Stepmom Sharon and Aunt Sue came by and give me money to help me make it up there. David's niece came over and rode with me. It was so serious and so sad I knew I had to be there for my husband and his family.
While I am there one of my dear friends Dad gets rushed back into the hospital -He had a heart attack last year. Another friend lost her Dad to alzheimer's such a strong man of God gone home to be with his Savior. I then get a call from my mom and a very very dear man ( brother to my uncle{he was married to my mom's sister}) had died ...I was almost his daughter in law years ago .. Loved him and his wife !!!
I finally feel like I can come home on Tuesday and get a call again from my Mom ( she had stayed with Krysta and KaDee until tues then went home) wed morn her brother Joel Parker had passed away early that morning unexpectedly . I went to pieces again "How am I going to pay for this trip?" ... I did not have to figure to long on this one we got up to go and my KaDee had woke up sooo sick and with that croupy cough...plus we had no water I thought my pipes were frozen but it was just pipes shrunk and came loose from each other . WHEWWW WEEEEE !!!!!!! BLESSING IN DISGUISE!!

So now that all that has been dealt with ... My Mother in Law is still in the hospital... My husband David has gone back on the road...My Granny sold her house and now we have to pack her up to move her in with my aunt....We have to figure out how to pay our taxes from year before last and last year and find a new CPA that will actually help me stay on top of this stuff thru out the year and not at the end so we dont have to pay in again... I have got to find one who is going to keep up on the laws and let me know when i am doing something wrong.

With all of this I should be going to pieces but I am not ... not yet I am just leaning on my faith that God is going to help lead me to the right place to get the best help for my needs.

I will continue to pray for my family and friends and listen to their troubles because it is better for me to give to others than to give in to my problems.

PRAISE GOD TIL THE ANSWERS COME AND AFTER EVEN IF HE SAYS NO !!!!

♥Well another year is gone...It was a year filled with lots of trials..loved ones gone home to be with God..but also filled with many blessings!
I am looking forward to this new year and all the many lessons to be learned and blessings to give and receive. I know there is going to be trials one very BIG one facing us right now . Leaning on God to help us thru it and I know we will make it but I also know that I will shed tears through it.

I am praying my kids have a blessed year of learning and discovery of life and what they need to do to live their lives the way God wants them to. We miss our Trevor so much still ... He walks with us everywhere we go and is never out of our hearts.

I am going to try to keep this blog up more this year and plan to share photos and thoughts and happenings and sometimes a recipe or review of something new i have tried out. That is my plan ... "Lord willing and the creek don't rise.." hehe

This is a cake my Dad and "other" Mom got for us .. my KaDee's birthday was on the
4th and my sister turned 40 on the 6th..my birthday is not til the 27th but we celebrated them all at the same time .. My sister can only come to town a few times a year.

ok so if your wondering about the pic of the broom well it is quite simple on the news they were telling of how on October 16, 2009 the sun and earth and all is lined just right that a broom can stand alone .... and It worked ....so cool !!!!

My son not of my womb had a birthday on the 15th he turned 13 a teen. So very sad !!

Well hello again Blogger world I have finally had a moment to be able to get back on here. This past few months has been some tough times for my home and my family, everything from a wreck in the big truck to the water damage and remodel of the kitchen to fix it all. sickness, storms knocking down huge tree branches . We have gone thru all that plus David was off work for nearly two weeks with his truck being down that was a really bigg setback. We have gotten so far behind in all our bills and everything but PRAISE BE TO OUR GOD ALMIGHTY FOR HIS LOVE AND CARE OF US!!!! We are finally just one bill away from being caught up Once I get this last bill caught up we wont be months behind . THe next bigg task will be figuring how to pay off the IRS for last yrs taxes ... we owe $$$ because I was just so out of it last year and just did not keep up with anything after Trevor was killed , if I had I would have realized we needed to pay some along . now we have to set up payments and from what I have heard the government charges outragous late fees and interest fees. I am praying for God to help me figure out how to pay this so we do not get charged the outrageous fees.

I have learned thru all this that my love for God and my trust in Him just gets stronger and stronger everyday . During all of this stress of being behind on bills and David did was waiting on his truck to get fixed and miles had been low anyways ... David and I had a big fight ..course that was just the devil trying to take our marriage down ... the devil is a liar and he did not win and won't ever when because our God is King of Kings and we have the power of His blood !!!
We have talked and prayed and laughed and I believe everytime the devil tries to bring us down in the end it just makes our bond stronger !

I am seeing and hearing from family and friends and on the news of marital strife ... sickness ... stress .. kids in trouble for various reasons.. I know a lot of this is caused from the financial problems of the world and the devil is using it to cause even more problems ... he is creeping into christian homes and families ... but he won't win ... he has lost already and he knows it ... God is sending His son one day soon to gather up the believers and take them all home to be with Him .. I along with all the rest of the believers have just got to hold on and keep on fighting the fight because the when we cross that finish line the best prize awaits ... we will get to cross thru the pearly gates to live with our King forever and ever. AMEN

Prayers must keep going up to Heaven until Jesus comes!!!! we must take time to stop and breathe deeply and focus our lives so they line up with what God wants for us ! we have His word to guide us and help us along the way but we must also make sure to listen to Him and let Him guide us !!!!!

I feel like I have been gone for so long .... My life has been turned inside out and upside down for a couple of month's now. My kitchen renovation from the water damage has finally been finished . Praise God .... with that going on and having the kids here and having to move them over to my Dad's ( the girls at least) because we did not want KaDee here with all the breathing and allergy problems she has had... and then during all that David hit the metal box and cut his fuel line a few weeks back and we had some tree limbs fall and yank our power lines down... we have been fighting millipeeds by the thousands everywhere inside and out... David's loads have been slow so slow in fact that several have quit the company he works for... David put his truck in the shop on monday August 3rd to get a PM and Overhead done and get a bracket fixed he also needed them to check out to see what was wrong with his transmission ...He finally got his truck back thurs nite, Aug.13th ... yes that is over a week and a half with no pay .... Praise God the owner of the company is a compassionate man and likes David he gave us an emergency loan to help us til he gets rolling and making money again it wont pay all the bills but it helps a lil and at least Child support won't get behind ... the stress levels have been so bad with everyone and this past week the devil really tried to end this marriage and this family union .... but he is a LIAR AND WE KNOW HE WANTS US TO THINK WE ARE PAUPERS ... but we are not we are CHILDREN OF THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE KING OF KINGS !!! My God reigns in glory forever more !! AMEN

I have been having a lot of talks with Jesus over the past few weeks ...

Water leak damages floor in kitchen ..
David hits a steel box heads up broke down on side of road fuel spilling everywhere..
Part of a tree falls and knocks power lines down ..
A/C freezes up causing a 4am Wally World trip..
Krysta's car battery dies ...
David gets a oil change and maintence done on big truck and they mess something up..
Storms come thru and we ended up with a leak in ceiling near fireplace ..

Thru all of this I am still Praising God for all of His many many blessings ....

Getting new Kitchen floor and cabinets and countertops...
David did not get a ticket for the accident and the fuel that was spilled..
No damage in house from the power being knocked out...
I was able to fix the a/c with no great expense ...
It is the battery that came with car so it was needed a new one and at least it happened here at home and not out of town...
No cost to get it fixed because TA'S guarantee their work...
Not a major leak and something David can fix....

No one is sick ... we are doing good .... money is low but again we are BLESSED BY GOD !!! SO I know everything will work out even though I do have my lil freak out moments ...hey I am only human afterall !!
I will be getting and posting pics of all the renovation and repair work on my kitchen it all starts Monday Morning @ 8am ... YAYYYYYYY!!!!!!

My step son set up the email and then I had set up his twitter back in dec using the email account .. I did not save any of the passwords or email because i knew he would not be using them . now i can not delete the twitter acc to set up one with a real email and password that he and I can remember hehe.. such a mess !!!!

Well things may have started out crappy after David hit a steel box in the road that he could not avoid and it busted his fuel line. The entire police and fire depts of Winnsboro showed up I think ...well maybe not the entire lol . They were great though they had to hang out and clean up the diesel that was spilled . David had called me to come get him because he was not sure the service man could fix it, fortunately he was able to fix it and we got home about 2am. We all got up early the next morning and headed to Grand Prarie, TX to " RIPLEY'S BELIEVE IT OR NOT & Louis Tussauds Palace of Wax". The kids all dozed in and out on the trip up there .

We got there and was able to get in line and get our tickets really quick but of course they all had to go to the potty then ..lol .
I decided we would go thru the WaxWorks first ... It is my favorite hehe!!!

They were all wiped out from the walking and from the heat it was like 102 even though we did not have to walk far to get back to the car in that heat it was still rough and took the car a little while to cool down.

On Saturday we all slept late and then Krysta, Jordan & KaDee made the trek to wally world to get some last minute things we needed for our grillin' feast! David did a great job of grilling the burgers and sausages mmmm yummy !! We had a marble cake and ice cream . As you can see from the pics of KaDee she really loved her cake and ice cream... lapping good you might say.

Today starts the holiday weekend for some ... David will be coming home today and we will begin our fun early in the morning . We are taking the kids to Dallas to the wax musuem & Ripleys ... we did not have a lot of options since David is going to have to leave back out on sunday . They are all excited about going though ... saw online they have a wax figure of Oprah and you can sit in a chair next to her to take pictures ...can not wait to take a picture of Oprah with each of the kids like they are being interviewed...lol esp. KaDee !!!!!

Then on saturday we will probably grill something before going to the lake to see the fireworks display ... we have been hearing it is going to be the best one ever !!! Last years was the best so far I thought !!

I pray everyone has a safe and Blessed time this weekend with family or friends . Do not forget to take time to include God in all your plans !

Life can change so fast this is what i keep hearing people say when talking about the fact of Farrah Fawcet dying to cancer and then Michael Jackson dying too and on the same day . I liked both but I just wish people would give Farrah the respect she deserves and not let Michael's passing overshadow her death.

On the homefront I have gotten the estimate for the repair work that has to be done in my kitchen and utility room. I have also talked to a couple of contractors that were recommended by the adjuster and the insurance agent . I will get theri estimates and I need to contact the BBB to make sure they have no complaints against them .

Jaidan took a turn for the worse due to a reaction from some of the meds it was kinda scarey for a while til the blood work came back . Now they are just having to change some of the meds and give her lots of lassik to get the swelling down.

Ok it is 4:38 and I am going to try to go get in bed and actually go to sleep !!!!

Well the insurance guy came today and the plumber too!!!! Got the leak fixed and now waiting to get the floors done . I will be getting ne counters cabinets and floor .. Yeah ok this is great now I just have to trust God to help with the deductible .
and I have to figure out what kind of counter tops and floors i want . hummmm????

I am just not sure right now !!!!!!!

also update on Miss Jaidan ... she is doing good in fact they are able to start wheening her off her oxygen now YAYYY ... talked to my friend Jaime today and she sounds tired but happy .. I am asking for prayers for her now as the realties start to set in !!

Jaidan day 3 after her liver transplant and looking good and feeling better now that she has her bow back !!!! lol

Life.. please no more lemons!!!!!

Let's see when life gives you lemons your suppose to make lemonade Right?... wrong or at least not here ... I can not because I have no water had to shut it off until who knows when because I have a leak under the cabinet floor under my kitchen sink or under the floor of the house . I do not know for sure how long it has been leaking but i just noticed it last week before the weekend and of course i tried to do a fix myself thinking it was nothing major like maybe the kids had just spilled something but then it became obvious that was not the case . I have had a fan on it but that is not helping so i know it is under the cabinet and is a leak in a pipe . probably one of the copper pipes ( i hate them ) .

my wood floors soaked ..the white powder is baking soda to keep the smell down .

I spent all day today calling plumbers and could not find one who could come out !!!! I called our insurance man and he said well you have done all you can lets put the claim in and let the adjuster figure something out if he can !! i AM READY TO GO FIND A HOTEL --- IF I HAD THE MONEY !!
I sent the girls to my Dad and Sharon's place and Justin and I are making do here ...we filled the tub with water before i shut it off and filled everything else we could find so we can wash our hands and all and as far as "potty time" well he is a boy ya know and we do live in the country ...lol time for the city boy to learn the country life ...lol

If something does not get done tomorrow I will have to take him somewhere to get a shower .... unless it rains then i can just give him a bar of soap and say head out back son ...lol yeah not he would freak out !!!

well on the other hand my Jaidan got her liver and is doing good had to have some blood today but other than that everything looks good .

TRANSPLANT DAY FOR JAIDAN !!

TODAY WAS THE DAY FOR JAIDAN TO GET HER MIRACLE! IT IS ALSO FATHER'S DAY AND WHAT AN AMAZING GIFT FROM HER HEAVENLY FATHER!!!! {pictured here with her Mommie Jaime before surgery}

Jaime has been such a strong woman of faith through this long struggle to get to this day . I know she would say she was not but she has with the help of God and His love and patience .Jaidan's biological father left as soon as he heard about her illness but her Heavenly father has been there for her through all of this and He has helped her Mommie Jaime too !! Jaime may have been angry at first and wanted to question God at times but we all have done that at some time in our lives, but He understands and He is a loving ,caring and patient God . It was a long wait to get to this day but now that it is here and the suregery was a success and everything looks good so far, Jaime can just rest in His arms . Oh and what a story and testimony she and Jaidan are going to have to share with others !!!! It is just so wonderful !!!!!!

We also must remember the family that made that hard decision to allow their baby to be a donor hero, the love for them that they may never know is amazing . The prayers that have gone up for them they will never know until they get to Heaven .
It is such a hard time for them but I know one day they will be able to feel good that some good came from their tragedy.

I pray anyone who reads this will stop and take a moment to say a prayer for the donor family and Jaidan and her family . thank you !!!

FOUND OUT EARLIER THAT JAIDAN IS AT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL IN DALLAS,TX WAITING FOR A POSSIBLE LIVER ... BLOOD MATCH JUST WAITING TO MAKE SURE IT IS A MATCH ON EVERYTHING ELSE . I AM SO ECITED FOR JAIDAN AND FOR JAIME BUT AT THE SAME TIME I AM SAD FOR THE DONOR FAMILY WHO LOST THEIR BABY . THE LIVES THAT WILL BE SAVED FROM THEIR LITTLE HERO WILL NEVER FILL THAT EMPTINESS INSIDE BUT ONE DAY THEY WILL BE ABLE TO HAVE A SINCE OF PEACE AND LOVE FOR THE SITUATION.

Praise God that He is for me and even though there have been times when I felt like I was worthless and no one wanted me around ,He did not let me stay in that frame of mind . He has a way of sending the right message along to let us know We are worthy of His love.

Life can often throw rocks onto our path that will cause us to stumble but if we just reach up He is there reaching out a helping hand to help us back up onto our feet and so many times I was stronger than before I had fell.

Acts 17:28-29 says " in Him I LIVE and move and have my being ...." without Him I know i would be lost without hope of ever making it up when I have stumbled and fell.
I know there are times when you do not know if He is there .... You ask yourself is it worth the pain to keep trying and pushing on ??? YES AND YES AND YES !!!!
It is worth it to know that one day I will get to be with Him forever . I must admit I am going to miss some of the things here on earth like Rocky road ice cream...Dr Pepper ...grapefruit ... watching a sappy love movie with my husband... playing cards all nite with my kids ...cuddling with my granddaughter... chatting with friends on the phone or computer... I am just being honest ...God knows how I feel and He does not hold it against me and He won't hold it against you if you just talk to Him and admit it to yourself ....But none of that matters if it meant living forever without Him in Heaven. I would give it all up today if it meant going to heaven and not hell.

Of course I do not want to die today .... I want to grow old with my husband and live long enough to see my babies grow up and live for God too! I want to be able to have many many more moments of talking with God about my life and my family and friends lives here on earth.

Thanks for allowing me to be honest with you today and maybe you will have a honesty moment with God today ....

Well today was going pretty good until .....I started trying to figure out what kind of bug or worm we have everywhere ....it is a Millipede ....and they like wet wood ....great ! We have a leak between the cabinet base and the floor in the kitchen under the sink .... it is messing up my wood floors . The best part of all of this is right now we have not got hundreds and hundreds of $$$ to fix it and get the house sprayed .

Life is trying really hard right now to throw it's worst curve balls at me and I think it is because God has been blessing us and has more in store for us . I also think maybe it because I do not like my house and my husband does not like it here . We have wanted to move since about 6 mths after living here. If I could sale it and find another place quickly I would do it so fast it would make my head spin.

Right now with our credit being not so great I just do not think we could get anything done !!!!!!

I am just going to have to let God help with this one too .... I depend on His help so much these days but with out Him to lean on I think I would be on depression pills and stress pills and heart pills ... I stay sad and stressed and heart hurting a lot of the time now a days ..... I am such a blessed woman and most of the time I can get past it when it hits me ... but days like today I just want to curl up in my bed and forget about the world and I turn my TV on the old time southern gospel music channel and just drift away to heaven for some hours ..... that is my "PILL" that cures all .... then God sends the tears to wash away the rest of what is still inside ....

Learning to lean on Him can be hard ....but ohhhh is it worth it in the end !!!

Praising Him thru the curve balls and speed bumps of life !!!

update on what has been happening ..
We had a big reunion this past weekend and it turned out really great . I was told it was the best one ever and everyone is looking forward to next year and turning it into a weekend long campout affair .... soo much fun !!

The kids are here and we have been having fun ,playing card games and having movie nights...chilling in the little pool . Hopefully before they go home we can go to the beach in Galveston area .

I have been dealing with these little worm-like bugs that curl up when you touch them with all the rain they have come up out of the ground by the millions I AM NOT EXAGGERATING !!!! all the trees are covered as high as you can see .... for weeks now they are everywhere outside and inside on the ceilings walls floors it is crazy . David has sprayed and sprayed and it is killing them but there is just so many and they just keep coming. soo GROSS, but I think they may be going away finally have not been seeing as many these past few days . Of course while my mom and sister were here this past weekend they really were bad !! ARRRGGHHH !!

There has also been a lot of memory walking about our Trevor and how much we miss him not being here !!!! It is still just so hard !

God has blessed us this summer already when we went for the child support review things went well and the people were very nice to David, his ex was being rude and the OAG staff do not respond well to rudeness. We had prayed for God's favor to be on him during the process and it was!

well i must go i am being paged by the kiddo's ... they are ready to start the movie ... may you all have a great summer and take time to share a laugh with family or friends .

Thorns ...

THORNS

Sandra felt as low as the heels of her shoes when she pulled open the florist shop door, against a November gust of wind. Her life had been as sweet as a spring breeze and then, in the fourth month of her second pregnancy, a "minor" automobile accident stole her joy. This was Thanksgiving week and the time she should have delivered their infant son. She grieved over their loss.

Troubles had multiplied.

Her husband's company "threatened" to transfer his job to a new location. Her sister had called to say that she could not come for her long awaited holiday visit. What's worse, Sandra's friend suggested that Sandra's grief was a God-given path to maturity that would allow her to empathize with others who suffer. "She has no idea what I'm feeling," thought Sandra with a shudder "Thanksgiving? Thankful for what?" she wondered.. "For a careless driver whose truck was hardly scratched when he rear-ended me? For an airbag that saved my life, but took my child's?"

"Good afternoon, can I help you?"

Sandra was startled by the approach of the shop clerk. "I . . . I need an arrangement," stammered Sandra.

"For Thanksgiving? I'm convinced that flowers tell stories, " she continued. "Are you looking for something that conveys 'gratitude' this Thanksgiving?"

"Not exactly!" Sandra blurted out. "In the last five months, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong."

Sandra regretted her outburst, and was surprised when the clerk said, "I have the perfect arrangement for you."

Then the bell on the door rang, and the clerk greeted the new customer....

"Hi, Barbara, let me get your order" She excused herself and walked back to a small workroom, then quickly reappeared, carrying an arrangement of greenery, bows, and what appeared to be long-stemmed thorny roses. Except the ends of the rose stems were neatly s nipped: there were no flowers.

"Do you want these in a box?" asked the clerk. Sandra watched - was this a joke? Who would want rose stems with no flowers! She waited for laughter, but neither woman laughed.

"Yes, please," Barbara replied with an appreciative smile. "You'd think after three years of getting the special, I wouldn't be so moved by its significance, but I can feel it right here, all over again," she said, as she gently tapped her chest.

Sandra stammered, "Ah, that lady just left with . . . uh . . . she left with no flowers!"

"That's right," said the clerk. "I cut off the flowers. That's the 'Special'. I call it the Thanksgiving Thorns Bouquet. Barbara came into the shop three years ago, feeling much as you do today," explained the clerk. "She thought she had very little to be thankful for. She had just lost her father; the family business was failing; her son had gotten into drugs; and she was facing major surgery. That same year I had lost my husband," continued the clerk. "For the first time in my life, I had to spend the holidays alone. I had no children, no husband, no family nearby, and too much debt to allow any travel."

"So what did you do?" asked Sandra.

"I learned to be thankful for thorns," answered the clerk quietly. "I've always thanked God for the good things in my life and I never questioned Him why those good things happened to me, but when the bad stuff hit, I cried out, 'Why? Why me?!' It took time for me to learn that the dark times are important to our faith! I have always enjoyed the 'flowers' of my life, but it took the thorns to show me the beauty of God's comfort! You know, the Bible says that God comforts us when we're afflicted, and from His consolation we learn to comfort others."

Sandra sucked in her breath, as she thought about what her friend had tried to tell her. "I guess the truth is I don't want comfort. I've lost a baby and I'm angry with God."

Just then someone else walked in the shop.

"Hey, Phil!" the clerk greeted the balding, rotund man.

"My wife sent me in to get our usual Thanksgiving arrangement . . twelve thorny, long-stemmed stems!" laughed Phil as the clerk handed him a tissue wrapped arrangement from the refrigerator.

"Those are for your wife?" asked Sandra incredulously. "Do you mind telling me why she wants a bouquet that looks like that?"

"Four years ago, my wife and I nearly divorced," Phil replied. "After forty years, we were in a real mess, but with the Lord's grace and guidance, we trudged through problem after problem, the Lord rescued our marriage. Jenny here (the clerk) told me she kept a vase of rose stems to remind her of what she had learned from "thorny" times. That was good enough for me. I took home some of those stems. My wife and I decided to label each one for a specific "problem" and give thanks for what that problem taught us."

As Phil paid the clerk, he said to Sandra, "I highly recommend the Special!"

"I don't know if I can be thankful for the thorns in my life" Sandra said to the clerk. "It's all too . . fresh."

"Well," the clerk replied carefully, "my experience has shown me that the thorns make the roses more precious. We treasure God's providential care more during trouble than at any other time. Remember that it was a crown of thorns that Jesus wore so we might know His love....Don't resent the thorns."

Tears rolled down Sandra's cheeks. For the first time since the accident, she loosened her grip on her resentment. "I'll take those twelve long-stemmed thorns, please," she managed to choke out.

"I hoped you would," said the clerk gently. "I'll have them ready in a minute."

"Thank you. What do I owe you?"

"Nothing. Nothing but a promise to allow God to heal your heart...The first year's arrangement is always on me."

The clerk smiled and handed a card to Sandra. "I'll attach this card to your arrangement, but maybe you would like to read it first."

It read: "My God, I have never thanked You for my thorns. I have thanked You a thousand times for my roses, but never once for my thorns. Teach me the glory of the cross I bear; teach me the value of my thorns. Show me that I have climbed closer to You along the path of pain. Show me that, through my tears, the colors of Your rainbow look much more brilliant."

Praise Him for the roses; thank Him for the thorns.

After reading this in an email I just had to share it. Also My prayers are going out to my cousin in law and her family her Mom Trudy passed away . She has no more cancer or pain now ! I know she is going to be missed by so many and will live on in her children, her family and many friends .

My girls are coming home today ... I should be in bed getting some sleep( it is 3:30am) but I can not sleep so I decided it was update time. Yesterday the 20th was the one year mark of the memorial service for Trevor. I miss him so much but I am making it one day at a time with God's help. I got a call that my cousins wife's mom has been given two days to live . The young girl graduated with my daughter and her Mom was diagnosed with cancer . Thought she had it whipped but it came back and now everything is starting to shut down inside her . Praying for that whole family during this tough time !

I miss my husband ... talked to him before he went to bed in IOWA... He is going to try to stay out til june when we have to go for his child support review . that will be the only way we can afford to do it ! I work really hard to manage our money so that the bills get paid and we have grocery's and gas money. It is hard and last year i really let things go and did not keep up with things the right way . I am back on track now thanks to my God helping me .

Speaking of my God this past sat i was driving and crying because of missing Trevor and He kept speaking to me thru songs on the radio ... also hearing someone talk about Job and what he went thru . The main song i heard was "Praise in this Storm" .

This has become my life song this past year .... I know He is there and no matter what is done or what people say He IS AWESOME AND I PRAISE HIM FOR EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE !!!! MY GOD REIGNS !!!!!

Remembering my Son not of my womb..Trevor Dale Burling !

Trevor Dale Burling Williamson was not of my womb but he was my heart son and he knew it. On May 16 , 2009 it will be a year since he left this world to go live with our heavenly Father, not a day goes by that my heart does not ache for him to be here with us . My life will always be a little less full because he is gone but I will go on and live to honor him !
When David and I met in 2000 I never dreamed of falling in love with him or his children but who could not love all four of them they just steal your heart with their smiles . Trevor was this cute little chubby cheek, blue eyed baby boy that acted a little shy at first. I did not get to see him much that first year but after David and I got married and then after his Grandpa died his Grandma let him start coming around more, finally. It was like we had been together for years , He and Krysta got along I think he liked having a big sister . They grew to love each other just like they were true brother and sister, just like he was with Jordan and Justin too. The bond grew through the years among all of us , even though we all come from different places we had one thing in common we all had become a heart family that loved one another thru the grace of God.
Trevor loved to come over and just hang out with us on the weekends and during the summer. He would call and say " Hey what are you all doing this weekend ? Can I come hang out ? " He would come over and we would be playing cards , or he would be fishing or building a bomb fire with his Dad and then he would fall asleep on the couch before everyone else .
The day Trevor left us was one of the worst days of my life but now after a year I can truly say I will make it one day at a time . I am just so thankful that just before he died he had a talk with his Dad and found out the truth from him that he had always loved him and had never wanted to be out of his life . That was a good talk the two of them had needed to have and it all happened at just the right time , it was in God's time.
There is going to be days when it is going to be hard and I will be making it one moment at a time but I am holding on to the promise that one day I will see him again . I never want anyone to ever say I did not love him or honor his memory because I am living my life to it's fullest . I have three other children , a grandchild and a husband that I must go on living for . God gives us a moment here on Earth to grow and live for Him so that when it is our time to leave this world we have no regrets. Taking time to stop and breathe to experience every moment we have .

I am going to miss our talks and how he would try to hide things from me and then when i called him on it he would say "I will never be able to get away with anything with you !"
I am going to miss watching Trevor and his niece KaDee playing together and hearing him tell her "One day I am going to teach you how to skate !" I will tell her about him always so she will never forget him .
I miss hearing about his friends and what they are doing . It was we are gonna go skate here or we are hanging out at ??'s house . They miss him I know but I pray they live and go on with their lives so that he can live on thru them too .

He was born not of my womb but he was planted in my heart and grew to be one of my babies too !! God take care of him till his "Other Mother" can come home to be with him .

HOME ALONE....

Well I will be spending the next couple of weeks home alone, not sure how to act or what I will do . I know this coming sat will be the saddest day because it will be the one year annivesrsary of the death of my son not of my womb TREVOR DALE BURLING , hard to believe he has been gone a year when it still feels so much like it just happened. I truly loved him like he was mine and he always told me" Darlene you are the best mom i ever had " and he had a mom and was raised his whole life by her mom his Grandma. (long story there)

I guess I can work on some things around the house and do a lil organizing . I also have to meet with our CPA to discuss how we are going to pay the irs what we owe them ...i have been told they charge a really high interest rate ...scared of that one a little bit . I just did not keep up with things last year and now we are paying for it .... I just have not been keeping up with things until recently after Trevor's death . I was doing good just to keep from breaking down all the time ...I really wanted and still do at moments to just crawl into the bed and stay there . I know i can not do that though I must continue to live for my GOD , my husband and family and friends and for Trevor so that his memory will stay alive !!

I will also have time to stay up with the blogs i follow hehe !!

some special moments with my KaDee ..

just a few special memories from the past couple of weeks ...just been playing with my KaDee and trying to keep her busy while her Mommie studies . Krysta was accepted into the Surg Tech Program and that is a fab thing since they only take 12 into the program each year and her application was right on top when she called the lady to ask if she had gotten in. Jordan called the other day and she is going to be in the UIL ONE ACT next year ...sooo proud of her too !!! Justin is just a typical 12 year old ...lol still proud of him too ! Miss my Trevor soooo very very much and my precious husband is really missing him too !! it will be a year on May 16th ...can not believe it !!

Glad to be able to get out and about though and It is really helping me too since I have been so sick this year and finally I am feeling better and want to get out and do something.

DAY @ DISCOVERY SCIENCE PLACE ...

Spent the day with my daughter Krysta and granddaughter KaDee , nieces and great nieces ... Kristy & Kenzie , Kerry & Ari. Yeesssss Ari and I were outnumbered by the K's...lol. I could not decide who had more fun the little girls or the big girls or maybe it was me just watching all of them . Afterwards we went to a Sonic that had a really cool playground area and sandy beach volleyball court, we ate and ALL the girls had fun playing and sliding on the crazy curvy slides.

Unfortunately when I got home later that night I realized I had leak in one of my walls in my bathroom. So I was unable to reach anyone til Tuesday afternoon and @ 9 am Wed morning a new plumber will be coming to try to fix my leak for me . He is the brother to the guy I normally use. Plus I have a hair appt to get rid of the grey @12.

I recieved an invitation for a baby shower on sunday and a 1st birthday party invite for one of my great-nieces on sat. just glad they were not on the same day ...lol

Ok got to get off here and get into bed . PRAISING GOD THAT WE ARE ALL FINALLY WELL AT THE SAME TIME. I AM FINALLY BACK IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING NOT THE SICK ANYMORE. MY GOD IS AMAZING IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HIM LOOK HIM UP YOU CAN FIND HIM ANYTIME HE IS ALWAYS AVAIABLE !!!! ASK HIM TO COME LIVE IN YOUR HEART AND YOU WILL HAVE A LIFE WORTH LIVING. I will admit it does not mean you won't have problems but what it does mean is when they crop up you know He has your back and will help you out. Sometimes not the way we think He should but if we let God move in us and for us our lives are so much better. Don't look back on your past set you eyes on your future by living in your present.

On Friday it was cold rainy dreary but I had a lot to do because two of my "kids not of my womb" were coming on Sat. for a visit. Krysta and I worked on the house cleaning chores. I tried to get in bed a lil early , fell asleep - slept about 2 hours - woke up and did not go back to sleep until Saturday nite or should i say Sunday morning ..it was about 2am .
Saturday Dalton all came over and I cooked roast and all the trimmings for them . We had a great visit been a long time since we have all gotten together. After everyone had left we hd a late guest...lol. the possoum comes up on the porch to eat our cats food ...lol then just moesey's along it's way.
On Sunday I did not do too much was just too tired ..lol . Gearing up for this week now , it is Spring Break for Krysta and it is suppose to be warmer and no rain till Thursday.

Today is the 10mth mark for when Trevor was shot and killed , seems like yesterday still ... the pain is still intense !!!

I would also like to ask for anyone who reads this blog to please saay a prayer for my cousin Ronnie he had to be rushed back to the hospital for pnuemonia and for being septic ....the dr's say it does not look good at all. Also my great- aunt is very sick and not doing well.

This was mine and my granddaughter's supper night before last and I just had to share it . To look at me people think I do nothing but sit around eating well up until about 3 months ago I hardly ate anything except on special occasions like Christmas . I just do not care to eat most of the time except for my grapefruit ...I can eat it and drink the juice all the time but I don't because it hurts my stomach to do that. So when I found out about three months ago that not eaating is just as bad as eating all the time....my metabolism is almost non-existent. I started going to a "workout spot" because I knew I needed more exercise ...where I live I have lots of people burning outside ...and that just causes me to not be able to breathe. I truly hate it too but if anything plastic or metal is being burned in their trash barrels it really bothers me .

Anyway now I try to have little meals through out the day and get more exercise. The fruit plate above is just an example and my punkin loves to eat whatever GranDee eats .... I have made a point and so has her mom from the beginning to give her bites of everything and now she will eat almost anything . My punkin will eat green onion just as quick as a cookie .

I need to learn now some meal plans for someone who may have alzhiemer's ... I have heard certain foods can help with slowing down the digression of someone with this disease. I have to do some research into this but at the same time I am praying the results will show that it is something less horrible .

I am going to try to go to bed now .... This is another problem I'm having my nights and days are reversed and I'm not sleeping but a few hours at a time sometimes only hour and half at a time.

Goodnight or Good morning however you want to look at it ... it's 4:41 am....

We took a quick trip to Mom's this past weekend just to see her, my sister and her kids and to take KaDee to the zoo in Alexandria . It is such a nice little zoo and has a train that takes you around the outter perimeter of the zoo. The weather turned out nice too , not to hot or to cold but jussst right ...lol ! The place was packed though could not believe so many there , we almost did not find a place to park ! One of the nice things about this zoo is all the huge trees that provide shade. They have all kinds of animals and we got to see most all except a few who were in their caves or nests , etc sleeping .We had fun on the train KaDee could not decide where to look ...lol After we left we went and got bite and headed back to hicksvilleburg , la ....lol Krysta and I watched "Australia" sat nite. it was so good . I really liked that movie . We had to get up and head home early because bad weather was suppose to be coming in to our area . We made it home without any problems thank goodness.

Jaidan is the cutie on the right of my blog page...she is the baby girl of my dear friend Jaime and was born with a disease that makes it a priority to have a liver transplant in order for her to survive a somewhat normal life. On Monday she will have to go to Dallas to have a sonogram on her tummy it is very bloated and swelled and they need to check how much fluid is there. she is now on the top of the transplant list but no donor has become available as of yet . It is truly hard to pray for her to get her liver because for that to happen another family is losing their baby. I just have to pray for God's will He knows our future we don't and so we must put our trust in Him . She is a fighter because she has made it this far and God has used her to reach people and i feel He is not done with her yet and therefore has much more for her to do here on Earth.

A special weekend....

This weekend my husband and I had a special getaway to celebrate his birthday { it was the 12th} and to celebrate Valentine's Day, it was wonderful. I reserved a room at a new hotel in a town about an hour from here, with him on the road all the time i knew we did have time to go too far. We had a gorgeous suite with luxurious bed and huge jacuzzi tub { it was big enough for three or four people } , also a nice 42"in flat hd tv. We went to trades days early and had fun just walking around and looking at all the goodies. We shared a lemonade and we each had a corn dog ...something about "carny food" ...lol

This weekend was part of our process of keeping our marriage "Fireproofed" in case you have not seen the movie ... go get it and watch it .... it is great !!!! This movie really can put you and your partners relationship in the right light if your really watch and listen to the story being shared. A little behind the scenes story i learned in the movie when you see Kirk Cameron kiss his wife it is his real wife in reaal life... he and his wife have such a commitment that she actually was the stand in lips for that shot ...how sweet is that !!

Well now I am back home and my soulmate is back out on the road and working hard to provide for his family. I have to get back to the swing of things, this weekend has refreshed us and now we can tackle the day to day grind in a better less stressful way.

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

This is one I can honestly say I have never seen

circulating in the emails so; if it touches you,

you may want to forward it.

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after

His resurrection? I never noticed this....

The Gospel of John (20:7) tells us that the napkin, which

was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown

aside like the grave clothes.

The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that the napkin

was neatly folded, and was placed separate from the grave clothes.

Early Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary

Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone

had been rolled away from the entrance.

She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the

one whom Jesus loved. She said,

"They have taken the Lord's body out of the

tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!"

Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The

other disciple outran Peter and got there first

He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there,

but he didn't go in.

Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed

the linen wrappings lying there, while the cloth that had covered

Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.

Was that important? Absolutely!

Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded

napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew

tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the

Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition.

When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he

made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.

The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant

would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating,

and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master

was finished.

Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the

table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would

wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table.

The servant would then know to clear the table. For in

those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'.

But if the master got up from the table, and folded his

napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would

not dare touch the table, because..........

The folded napkin meant, "I'm coming back!"

We had some serious storms come thru here tonight and it relly got me to thinking about how life can give you storms. The storms in my life have been lack of money, insurance , at times food ... DEATH OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS , the death of my son Trevor and it ws not that he just died from illness or a car crash but that he was shot by a friend. I have lost a cousin Michael Parker and a dear family friend Steve Watson were both killed when they were living together. They had been best friends all their lives our growing up togehter going to the same school and church and then in the end they died together . I also lost an my Aunt she was shot during a robbery gone badd . I lost both of my grandpa's to sudden heart attack's so quick you don't have time to even say goodbye .

Through all of these storms there have been times when I have lost sight of who was walking with me but He never left me. I am PRAISING HIM without my God and the knowledge that one day I will get to go to Heaven and see my family and friends and my Trevor again... i know i could not make it through the storms of life!

Chesapeake Bay. Last year Maryland saw the lowest harvest (22 million
pounds) since 1945. Just four decades ago the bay produced 96 million
pounds. The population is down 70% since 1990, when they first did a formal
count. There are only about 120 million crabs in the bay and they think
they need 200 million for a sustainable population. Overfishing, pollution,
invasive species and global warming get the blame.

18. VCRs
For the better part of three decades, the VCR was a
best-seller and staple in every American household until being completely
decimated by the DVD, and now the Digital Video Recorder (DVR). In fact,
the only remnants of the VHS age at your local Wal-Mart or Radio Shack are
blank VHS tapes these days. Pre-recorded VHS tapes are largely gone and VHS
decks are practically nowhere to be found. They served us so well.

17. Ash Trees
In the late 1990s, a pretty, irridescent green species of
beetle, now known as the emerald ash borer, hitched a ride to North
America with ash wood products imported from eastern Asia. In less than a decade,
its larvae have killed millions of trees in the midwest, and continue to
spread. They've killed more than 30 million ash trees in southeastern
Michigan alone, with tens of millions more lost in Ohio and Indiana. More
than 7.5 billion ash trees are currently at risk.

16. Ham Radio
Amateur radio operators enjoy personal (and often worldwide)
wireless communications with each other and are able to support their
communities with emergency and disaster communications if necessary, while
increasing their personal knowledge of electronics and radio theory.
However, proliferation of the Internet and its popularity among youth has
caused the decline of amateur radio. In the past five years alone, the
number of people holding active ham radio licenses has dropped by 50,000,
even though Morse Code is no longer a requirement.

15. The Swimming Hole
Thanks to our litigious society, swimming holes are becoming
a thing of the past. '20/20' reports that swimming hole owners, like
Robert Every in High Falls, N.Y., are shutting them down out of worry that if
someone gets hurt they'll sue. And that's exactly what happened in
Seattle. The city of Bellingham was sued by Katie Hofstetter who was paralyzed in a
fall at a popular swimming hole in Whatcom Falls Park. As injuries occur
and lawsuits follow, expect more swimming holes to post 'Keep out!' signs.

14. Answering Machines
The increasing disappearance of answering machines is
directly tied to No 20 our list -- the decline of landlines. According to
USA Today, the number of homes that only use cell phones jumped 159%
between 2004 and 2007. It has been particularly bad in New York; since 2000,
landline usage has dropped 55%. It's logical that as cell phones rise,
many of them replacing traditional landlines, that there will be fewer
answering machines.

13. Cameras That Use Film
It doesn't require a statistician to prove the rapid
disappearance of the film camera in America. Just look to companies like
Nikon, the professional's choice for quality camera equipment. In 2006, it
announced that it would stop making film cameras, pointing to the
shrinking market -- only 3% of its sales in 2005, compared to 75% of sales from
digital cameras and equipment.

12. Incandescent Bulbs
Before a few years ago, the standard 60-watt (or, yikes,
100-watt) bulb was the mainstay of every U.S. home. With the green
movement and all-things-sustainable-energy crowd, the Compact Fluorescent Lightbulb
(CFL) is largely replacing the older, Edison-era incandescent bulb. The
EPA reports that 2007 sales for Energy Star CFLs nearly doubled from 2006, and
these sales accounted for approximately 20 percent of the U.S. light bulb
market. And according to USA Today, a new energy bill plans to phase out
incandescent bulbs in the next four to 12 years.

11. Stand-Alone Bowling Alleys
BowlingBalls.US claims there are still 60 million Americans
who bowl at least once a year, but many are not bowling in stand-alone
bowling alleys. Today most new bowling alleys are part of facilities for
all types or recreation including laser tag, go-karts, bumper cars, video game
arcades, climbing walls and glow miniature golf. Bowling lanes also have
been added to many non-traditional venues such as adult communities,
hotels and resorts, and gambling casinos.

10. The Milkman
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, in 1950,
over half of the milk delivered was to the home in quart bottles, by 1963,
it was about a third and by 2001, it represented only 0.4% percent.
Nowadays most milk is sold through supermarkets in gallon jugs. The steady decline
in home-delivered milk is blamed, of course, on the rise of the supermarket,
better home refrigeration and longer-lasting milk. Although some milkmen
still make the rounds in pockets of the U.S., they are certainly a dying
breed.

9. Hand-Written Letters
In 2006, the Radicati Group estimated that, worldwide, 183
billion e-mails were sent each day. Two million each second. By November
of 2007, an estimated 3.3 billion Earthlings owned cell phones, and 80% of
the world's population had access to cell phone coverage. In 2004,
half-a-trillion text messages were sent, and the number has no doubt
increased exponentially since then. So where amongst this gorge of gabble
is there room for the elegant, polite hand-written letter?

8. Wild Horses
It is estimated that 100 years ago, as many as two million
horses were roaming free within the United States. In 2001, National
Geographic News estimated that the wild horse population had decreased to
about 50,000 head. Currently, the National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory
board states that there are 32,000 free roaming horses in ten Western
states, with half of them residing in Nevada. The Bureau of Land
Management is seeking to reduce the total number of free range horses to 27,000,
possibly by selective euthanasia.

7. Personal Checks
According to an American Bankers Assoc. report, a net 23% of
consumers plan to decrease their use of checks over the next two years,
while a net 14% plan to increase their use of PIN debit. Bill payment
remains the last stronghold of paper-based payments -- for the time being.
Checks continue to be the most commonly used bill payment method, with 71%
of consumers paying at least one recurring bill per month by writing a
check. However, on a bill-by-bill basis, checks account for only 49% of
consumers' recurring bill payments (down from 72% in 2001 and 60% in
2003).

6. Drive-in Theaters
During the peak in 1958, there were more than 4,000 drive-in
theaters in this country, but in 2007 only 405 drive-ins were still
operating. Exactly zero new drive-ins have been built since 2005. Only one
reopened in 2005 and five reopened in 2006, so there isn't much of a
movement toward reviving the closed ones.

5. Mumps & Measles
Despite what's been in the news lately, the measles and
mumps actually, truly are disappearing from the United States. In 1964, 212,000
cases of mumps were reported in the U.S. By 1983, this figure had dropped
to 3,000, thanks to a vigorous vaccination program. Prior to the introduction
of the measles vaccine, approximately half a million cases of measles were
reported in the U.S. annually, resulting in 450 deaths. In 2005, only 66
cases were recorded.

4. Honey Bees
Perhaps nothing on our list of disappearing America is so
dire; plummeting so enormously; and so necessary to the survival of our
food supply as the honey bee. Very scary. 'Colony Collapse Disorder,' or CCD,
has spread throughout the U.S. and Europe over the past few years, wiping out
50% to 90% of the colonies of many beekeepers -- and along with it, their
livelihood.

3. News Magazines and TV News
While the TV evening newscasts haven't gone anywhere over
the last several decades, their audiences have. In 1984, in a story about the
diminishing returns of the evening news, the New York Times reported that
all three network evening-news programs combined had only 40.9 million
viewers. Fast forward to 2008, and what they have today is half that.

2. Analog TV
According to the Consumer Electronics Association, 85% of
homes in the U.S. get their television programming through cable or
satellite providers. For the remaining 15% -- or 13 million individuals --
who are using rabbit ears or a large outdoor antenna to get their local
stations, change is in the air. If you are one of these people you'll need
to get a new TV or a converter box in order to get the new stations which
will only be broadcast in digital.

1. The Family Farm
Since the 1930s, the number of family farms has been
declining rapidly. According to the USDA, 5.3 million farms dotted the
nation in 1950, but this number had declined to 2.1 million by the 2003
farm census (data from the 2007 census hasn't yet been published). Ninety-one
percent of the U.S.farms are small family farms.

My kids on tuesday hiking a nature trail near a park we had gone to...enjoying the sunshine!!!!!

Well it feels like I have been gone forever .... with the holidays and all the sickness that has happened around here including myself it has been a lovely couple of months....I had an infection to start in my eyes and spread thru out my body...It was very bad.

so much has happened with me and my family and with the world while i was away ...I am not going to try and post about the past weeks ... I am just going to try to go on from today ... God Bless and I will update as often as i can ...hopefully I will get a computer of my own again soon.

she is loving dressing up in the new outfits but today her mom broke down and gave her a gift she was gonna save for the party this weekend . She could not wait any longer and KaDee loved it ...she was so excited she could not decide which side to play with first ...lol

she played for hours until I finally had to carry her off to bed....I have a feeling that when she wakes up it will start all over again ...lol.

I have really been busy with these sewing projects for my Punkin KaDee ....I have made the quilt, sheet blanket and pillow case in the Christmas Veggie Tales...then had to make a shirt to match ...I do have some finishing touches to do for it though. The fall design is also a pillow case and sheet blanket....I am going to make a shirt to match it as well. Oh yess there will be matching bows of course...hehe Her Mommie can not stand all my frufru { is that how you spell that i really am not sure?!?!?!} . I use to dress my dear daughter up this way too ....maybe that is why she does not like it ...i don't know but KaDee likes dressing up so i am going to do it as long as she lets me....They grow up so fast !!!

Well my precious lil grandbaby turned 2 at 8:29 am today Oct. 4....I got this pic of her at the exact time as she was watching her sat. morning tunes and drinking her chocolate milk and eating her cereal .

I am so sad she is growing up so quickly but then i can still remember like it was yesterday her mommie being that same age. i can not believe life is rolling along so fast ....Some days i am so ready to just throw my hands up and say ok Lord i'm ready to just go to Heaven and then there are days like today when i want life to go slower so i can enjoy these moments longer.

This was a great little party with just her Great Great Granny...Great Aunt Sue and Uncle Ray ....Pappa Doyal & Grammy Sharon .... Mommie & Me . Next weekend is the bigg party with ll her lil cousins and friends and other family. It is going to be at a Pump It Up. Her Mommie has planned a wonderful time for her and today was for her Granny mostly because we knew she would not want to go to the Pump it Up party...after all last month she turned 88 ..whoa can not believe that one .

Cool days , Leaves falling and im busy sewing ....

This is just one of several things i have been working on ....my KaDee needed new fall stuff ....lol so I have been reteaching myself all the sewing stuff i use to know .....yayy it is all coming back to me now ....well most of it anyways...lol.
I am having so much fun and when i show what i have made to my punkin she gets so excited. We are also planning for Punkin's #2 birthday Oct 4th. W will be having a lil party at home on that day but her bigg party is not until the next weekend when all her family and friends will be here to celebrate with her. I can not believe she is growing up so fast .

Mom come to town ......WHAT A TREAT !!!!

We had a wonderful visit with my mom this past weekend ..... she had to come for a visit because it had been 3 weeks since she had seen her KaDee..hehehe!!!! It was sad though this was the first time we had been to the zoo since mom and my niece and nephew had come down back in the spring for there spring break and Trevor went to the zoo with us....I was doing good til I got to the place where we took a lot of pics and where Trevor convinced me to let him take my picture ...he was so stoked he finally had got his hands on my camera ...I got pretty teary and so did Krysta ....I think my mom got upset but she just talked faster {{ this is what she does when she gets a lil upset or nervous about something}}......KaDee was happy she got to get an aldigator aka alligator ...stuffed of course ....lol!!!! My lil punkin loves alligators not really sure why ?!?!?!!!! It was a nice day at the zoo to see the ALLIGATORS and all the other animals !!!!!

I got more mail today for Trevor he is getting college information , i guess since he would have been a junior this year and he had used our address for something so now we are getting stuff from different colleges and scholarship / loan organizations. I miss him !!!!

KaDee was cheesin for the camera....in her new hairbow, shirt and jeans!!lol

I recieved this today and felt I needed to share it with anyone who stops to take a peek into my life . We should be really TALKING TO GOD not just praying for a few moments on our knees but really have a good long talk with him . I talk to Him daily just like I talk to my mom or my husband or my daughter...He is after all my #1 friend and confidant . My God and I have conversations over" a cup of Joe" im not a coffee drinker i just use that scenerio since most can relte to it ! Take time to "have a cup of joe with God today" you will truly be rewarded for it and It will make HIm happy .

I'm Back finally .....

Well between Gustav and Ike it has been some craziness around here ....I have had a hard time getting to get online ....i have been using my new Instinct phone to check mail and log onto my myspace occasionally , but it will not allow me to mobile blog on here for some reason .....bites!!!

We did not sustain a lot of damage from IKE in fact we did not loose power but a lot of my family and friends have lost power and had trees fall thru their roofs.

We did have a nice day and David and I carried our lil Punkin to the park , had a great time !!!

This past sunday was party day for my niece Makenzie she is turned 2. She is just 3 weeks older than our Punkin. Yessss that means my Punkin is turning 2 in three weeks . I can not believe it , she is growing up too fast .

this is Arianna daughter of another niece Kerry who is sister to Makenzie's Mom Kristy, she is such a cutie with her blue eyes.

Yesterday was the 4 month mark of our Trevor's death. I have really started to dream about him a lot the past few nights, I had kinda stopped for a while and now the dreams are back and i'm not sure why.

I am going to get ready for my Mom's visit ......she will be here Thursday.

We lost our dog BEAR {{{ i called him BEAR-BEAR}}} Wed the 3rd ......We had him since he was just a couple months old ....he was born in July 2004. Bear was a good dog loved to run and play and we had a fishing pole rigged up with just a rubber worm on it ....we could cast it out and reel it in and he would chase it for hours till he wore us out ....he would run so fast that when he would turn to make a circle round us it looked like he was lying on his side....im sorry i never got that on video....and unfortunately most of my really good pics of him are on my computer that crashed along with some of my Trevor...im going to have to save up my money so i can take it and see if i can get the pics removed and saved onto a cd.{{fingers crossed}}

well this has been a great topping to an already dreary week with all the rain from GUSTAV....we did not get the storms they had thought we would PRAISE GOD !!!!

I got me a new phone this weekend yayyy ....an instinct and i love it i can now get text at home{{ SEND ME A MESSAGE IF YA WANT MY NUMBER}}I HAVE UNLIMITED TEXT NOW .. ...yay !!!!

Loving life .....having sad days still Closer it gets to the holiday's ....I miss Trevor but I have to LIVE AND BREATHE for him ...he would be soooo in love with my new phone...hehe....i know he is watching and laughing at me from heaven !!!!

I am feeling better health wise that is...emotionally it has been a rough week...I WANT MY SON BACK!!!!! yes i know he was not my flesh and blood but for 8 years he was a part of my life and in that time he managed to carve a much bigger chunk out of my heart than i even realized until he was gone....i love him so much and this week there has been some really bad moments of such deep depression ...on top of that my friend's baby Jaidan the cutie on my page here....is in children's hospital fighting for her life. The doctors and donor reps and anyone else who is involved will be having a meeting on thursday to decide if she is a candidate for a liver transplant . her mommy is having a hard time one moment she is fighting for her baby's life the next she realizes without a miracle ...someone's baby has to die in order for her baby to live....she is leaning on God as much as humanly possible but there again ,she is only human. PLEASE say a prayer for them !!
Today I was online chatting with a family member and found out she had a miscarriage...sooo sad and she was bout 12 1/2weeks.
Now we are having to watch the weather for reports on GUSTAV.....here at the three year anniversary of HURRICANE KATRINA....Just what this country does not need is another disaster like that . With the cost of gas up and don't get me started on the cost of disel ...being the wife of a trucker I can tell you it is crazy ....and people wonder why the cost of a loaf of bread has gone from $.50 to $1.50 if your lucky .......Trucker's are not to blame it is whomever "REALLY" regulates the price of the fuel/gas . of course now that reports of Gustav coming to the gulf are going round then that means the off shore rigs and refinery's will prepare to shut down ....which means the cost per gallon will go UP!!!

My KaDee started "school" this week...lol since her Mommie started back to college this week i decided to let her start to "school". So we have color time and ABC time and more color time and we watch educational videos ...like VEGGIE TALES...WE LOVE, LOVE, LOVE VEGGIE TAILS !!!!!

WE ALSO HAD LOVING THE 80'S CLASS SHE DID HER HAIR FOR IT ...LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I have not been on in a couple of days im afraid I had some kind of bug. Feeling better now though...Thank God!!!!!

I was sitting here reading emails and watching the Olympics when i opened the email below i was watching the men's platform diving semi- finals.

Here's the story:

A young man who had been raised as an atheist

was training to be an Olympic diver.

The only religious influence in his life came from his outspoken
Christian friend.

The young diver never really paid much attention to his friend's
sermons,

but he heard them often.

One night the diver went to the indoor pool at the college he
attended.

The lights were all off,

but as the pool had big skylights and the moon was bright,
there was plenty of light to practice by.

The young man climbed up to the highest diving board and as he
turned
his back to the pool on

the edge of the board and extended his arms out,

he saw his shadow on the wall.

The shadow of his body,

was in the shape of a cross.

The man felt a strange feeling,

like someone was speaking to him.

Instead of diving,

he knelt down and

finally asked God to come into his life.

As the young man stood,

a maintenance man walked in and turned the lights on.

The pool had been drained ! for repairs.
